Mission Accomplished

I have defeated the Blue Screen of Death.... barely. All I actually cared about was my pictures but it seems that the tech peeps were able to recover my music and documents as well. Everything else, like programs, could be re-installed, but I am one of those idiots that never does a back up and I definitely don't think about downloading from my camera to anywhere other than my PC. So... yep.. looking for another way to do it from now on.

So that's what I've been doing the past few days... besides going crazy at my job with everything going on in the financial world. It's probably a good thing that I'm in time-out because I could have lose a few k if I hadn't been paying attention closely..... ADHD doesn't help either. I've also been looking at going back to school and getting out of this field. Figured I could start up again and go in the evenings... study during the day although it would cut significantly into my Chelsea time...

I have no opinion really about the debate last night. I have realized that nothing I can say or refute, or joke about or debunk will change my vote and is very unlikely to sway anyone else... I think they both made their pints last night and neither one of them gaffed. How sad is it that we've become so PC that debating has become so unbelievably boring?

By the way... this is one of my recovered pics... Remember when Mattel was recalling Barbies last year... this is one of my old co-workers.. I'll post more of him later.

I was speaking with one of my "independent" friends here the other day, and we agreed that since we don't really have a dog in this hunt, we're have an advantage when observing this election. I get more upset with the news coverage (will someone please put a ballgag in Katie Couric's mouth?!) than I do at any of the four candidates...

Last night was indeed boring, I wish someone would ask some real questions for a change. It's not going to get any better here in Nashville later this week either; almost all of the seats to the "town hall" style debate have been given to politicos and their ilk. Heck, even the students are being told to stay away from campus...

Glad you were able to retrieve your stuff, I'm lousy at backing up files as well. Maybe tomorrow I'll do a bunch of that. Yeah, right...most likely I'll either be too busy drawing or busting my butt with the offog...

Was it tessie you were talking to? She was a lifelong Democrat who is currently supporting McCain...

LOL...

I think the only heated debate will be the last one up at Hofstra. They'll be more used to each other, have exchanged both barbs and niceties prior, and more should be at stake for one of them if the polls keep moving like they have been... But then I haven't cked "Today's Gallop" *JBRMNSOG) lately.

There's a Sarah Palin Debate flow chart making the rounds. I don't have the skills to import it here, but if you google it, it's on Huffington post. It captures the logic(and I use that word very loosely) behind her answers.

I saw it, freaking hilarious. One of the bloggers over at Daily KOS created it.

I sent it to my die hard Republican Boss... LOL

Palin reminded me of someone answering an essay question, on, say...the root causes of WWI. Unfortunately, due to her ignorance of WWI, she says..."A lot of Americans died in WWI--so can I tell you about another war where a lot of Americans died? The root causes of the Revolutionary War were..."
Did anyone notice that she didn't answer half of the questions? She kept going right back to "stump speech" points--I would have loved to see them actually ask each other questions--it didn't seem like a very challenging format.
Plus all the winking at camera just baffled me. Plus the "aw shucks we're just a coupla mavericks" act made me want to throttle her.

SNL was freaking hilarious

I loved the flute for the talent portion! Also, I love the way Palin says she's just trying to keep Tina Fey employed. Yeah, it's great that SNL doesn't even have to write any dialogue - they can just quote Palin verbatim!
